Juan Martin came to the United States from Colombia in 1993 with his now-wife, Marilyn, and welcomed two little girls, Lina and Monica, soon after. He did whatever he needed to provide for his family, working every job in the book, from delivering pizzas to laying down stones for landscaping.

He finally found his niche in the home improvement business. He worked up the ranks, holding various positions from sales to project manager in Northern Virginia’s most renown companies. But he was never satisfied, studying night and day, eventually earning his certification.

Despite his successes, his 10+ years of experience was no match for the financial crisis of 2008. Juan Martin was laid off, but his family still needed to eat.

Without much to lose, Juan Martin and Marilyn took a chance and founded JM Residential Solutions, Inc. in 2009. Seventy-five percent of small businesses fail after two years, but it’s been 10 and JM is still going strong. His connections, friendly attitude and unmatched work ethic are what make him the no. 1 choice across the DMV.
